Out of 700 mini cuppies, 140 Italian Peach Cakes and 300 brownie bites--we had about 175 mini cuppies left. Now I am gearing up for the fall and winter wedding season. Several extraordinary cakes coming up next month. Clients are really testing my decorating skills-- I LOVE IT!!! Not going to ICES convention this year as I have alot going on this summer. I took some great classes. My favorite (as usual) was "Henna Scrolls" with Norman Davis. He was also chosen as this year's ICES Hall of Famer--a much deserving honor. I also took a class on a standing Golf Bag cake...can't wait to make one of these. Other cake-lebrities that I met were Mike McCarey- -he is the best cake sculptor, Bronwen Weber, Kerry Vincent, and Nicholas Lodge. Kerry Vincent presented a class on romantic wedding cakes. Bronwen has developed some new cake stands. Nicholas Lodge gives the best class on making gum paste flowers. And Mike--well, what can I say about this AWESOME cake sculptor. I was lucky enough to get registered for 2 classes with Norman Davis, 1 with Kerry Vincent, 1 with Zane Beg and 1 with Nicholas Lodge. Those wonderful Food Network Cake people. Tne convention is July 16th thru July 20th. I am going with my cake buddy, Tina, from Shreveport and meeting up with 2 other cakers from www.cakecentral.com. Look out Florida!
